I see the potential in citizen development for quickly prototyping ideas. For example when pitching for funding to bring in a professional UX and development team. However, I have some doubts about its ability to produce a truly competitive application. While tools like ChatGPT for documentation and Cursor for development can be helpful, they might not fully address important aspects like edge cases and accessibility.
Plus, if someone doesn’t fully understand the code they’re generating, troubleshooting and fixing issues could become a major challenge.

It’s an interesting approach, but I wonder how it handles these risks in practice 🤔
